Da Camera de Cuerdas
The School's Baroque Ensembles are part of the Société Générale Historical Performance Programme, which seeks to expose students to the various performing traditions from the Renaissance (through the Baroque) and up to musical classicism, through the study of their stylistic characteristics, repertoire, the history and evolution of the instruments, etc. Aspects that help students to integrate into their practice knowledge and practices that until recently were exclusive to specialists, and that are increasingly necessary in today's music profession.
The Société Générale Historical Performance Programme is led by Paul Goodwin. He is accompanied in the faculty by Lina Tur Bonet as deputy professor of strings, Marco Testori as deputy professor of continuo, and Daniel Espasa as deputy professor of harpsichord.
The Friends of the School will have exclusive access to the rehearsal on Wednesday, February 7, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. to see and hear in person how they prepare the concert. To attend, please write to: amigos@albeniz.com. Likewise, the Friends also enjoy free admission to the concert. Find more information on the Friends Programme here.
This concert will also be broadcast live on our Youtube channel
