At the School, we firmly believe in the concept of musicians as lifelong learners. For this reason, we offer various programs for the personal and professional development of our Alumni, at every stage of their lives.
The School currently offers a personalized Career Guidance Service accessible to its Alumni community. No matter where you are in your professional journey, you can request an advisory session by emailing alumni@albeniz.com. The sessions are conducted individually, either in person (at the School) or online.
Through the Incubator Program, the School offers Alumni-led projects support, guidance, financial backing, training, mentorship, and connections with industry professionals to take their projects to the next level. The only requirement to participate is that at least one of the project members must be an Alumni of the School.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, the deadline for submitting projects is October 30th. Find all the information here.
Digital Skills for Music Teachers is an Erasmus+ project aimed at Alumni involved in education who wish to stay up to date with the use of technology as music educators. This training covers how technology impacts organization (online meetings and communication with colleagues, students, and families), which digital tools can be used in the classroom (apps, digital scores, software, etc.), and how confidentiality laws affect digital communication with students, families, and colleagues.
This training is free for the School's Alumni and is accredited. Access all the information here.
The School offers a program with masterclasses on key topics for the professional development of its Alumni community, such as taxation for musicians, business strategy, marketing and communication, artistic identity, among others. The 2025 program will take place from January to June and will be announced in December 2024.
AIM is an innovation lab for change agents addressing social inequality through music education. Together, we challenge the status quo to catalyse transformative learning and create pathways that help young people tap into their inner resources to lead their own lives, both within and beyond music.
Each year, the Reina Sofía School nominates Alumni to participate in the Firebird Fellowship. These Alumni commit to a 15-month learning journey that includes a blend of interactive online and in-person learning, diving deep into the fundamentals of teaching alongside fellows from around the world. They are guided by international experts and artists, and supported by a global community.
School Alumni who participated in the AIM Fellowship:
2021-2022 Susana Rivero (double bass)
2022-2023 Samuel Palomino (viola), Zabdiel Hernández (violin), Aglaya González (viola), Clara Marimon (horn)
2023-2024 Jessica Rueda, Mika Nishimura
