Academic Year

The academic year at the Reina Sofía School of Music begins in late September and ends in late June.

At the beginning of the academic year and during orientation meetings, each student is given a document with the activities for each term, organised specifically for each instrument department.

At the end of each academic year, each student receives a certificate of studies.

At the end of each training cycle, each student receives a formal diploma acknowledging completion of the corresponding studies.

At the end of the academic year, the Faculty Members of the School, on  recommendation from the teachers, designates the “Most Outstanding Student” of each chair, who receives the diploma directly from H.M. Queen Sofía on an emblematic stage in Madrid during the academic year’s Closing Ceremony.
