Eberhard Marschall

As a young student at the Cologne Music Academy, where he specialised in school music and bassoon, he was a member of the Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and the German National Youth Orchestra.
When he finished his studies, he moved to the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Cologne where he continued his bassoon training with Klaus Thunemann. A few years later, he became soloist bassoon at the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra while he passed his state examination specialising in school music.
In addition to his orchestral activity, Eberhard Marschall has worked as charmer musician form the very beginning with the Linos-Ensemble and the Deutschen Bläsersolisten with whom he extensively toured around Europe, China and Japan.
As a soloist, he has obtained international recognition. Between 1985 and 2019, he performed as first bassoon with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Since 1989, he worked as professor at Munich Music Academy. Eberhard Marschall has launched several works in CD, for example, recordings with the Linos-Ensemble or the bassoon concerto by Mozart with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Colin Davies.
