Pablo Márquez


Born in Fregenal de la Sierra (Badajoz, Spain) in 1989. He completed his Higher Piano Studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Badajoz under the direction of Susana Sánchez Baltasar and trained for five years at the Reina Sofía School of Music with Galina Eguiazarova. He holds a Master's degree in Solo Performance from the Centro Superior de Enseñanza Musical Katarina Gurska in Madrid, with Claudio Martínez Mehner. He has received master classes from renowned musicians such as Mikhail Voskresensky, Andrzej Jasinski, Pavel Gililov, Emanuel Krasovsky, Eldar Nebolsin, Joaquín Achúcarro, and Nino Kereselidze. Among his awards include First Prize at the III PROMUSICA Competition (2002), First Prize at the National Competition for Young Performers Ciudad de Bollullos (2005), First Prize at the V Young Musicians Competition of Extremadura (2005), Second Prize at the XIII Piano Competition of Palma de Mallorca (2005), and First Prize at the Piano Competition Ciudad de El Ejido (2007). He received the Special Prize at the XXXIII National Competition of Juventudes Musicales "Ciudad de Albacete" (2013). As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed at the National Auditorium of Madrid, the Sony Auditorium, the Royal Maestranza of Seville, and the Congress Palace of Badajoz, as well as venues in Belgium and Portugal. From 2016 to 2023, he was a professor at the Conservatory of Music of Badajoz. He worked as an accompanist piano professor at the Reina Sofía School of Music. Currently, he teaches at the CIEM Federico Moreno Torroba in Madrid.
