1st International Ibero-American Alumni Meeting

The Reina Sofia School of Music is organising the 1st International Ibero-American Alumni Meeting to be held in Bogota from 1 to 3 September at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo.

This event will be attended by alumni from different countries of the region, such as Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil or Venezuela. In addition, they will be joined by Spanish musicians, current members of the Spanish National Orchestra, who are touring the country during those days.

The participants are renowned musicians who play important roles in orchestras and universities in Latin America. The meeting will include activities aimed at fostering cultural and professional exchange among the attending musicians. Presentations and discussions will be held on the social impact of music, professional needs and opportunities in Latin America, music education and the development of the School's graduates. Opportunities for collaboration and mutual support between alumni from the Latin American region and Spain will also be discussed.

This intercultural event reflects the diversity and impact of the School on the professional development of Latin American musicians and the impact of these musicians on the cultural life and social development in the places in Ibero-America where they work.
