Klaus Thunemann: Bach - Suite for cello solo no. 1 BWV 1007 (transcription for bassoon) - IV. Sarabande

BACH, Johann Sebastian

Suite for cello solo no. 1 in G major BWV 1007 (transcription for bassoon)

IV. Sarabande

Klaus Thunemann, professor

Alber Català Climent, student

Professor Thunemann works in detail on the rhythm of this Sarabande, as well as on aspects such as tuning and agogics.
He comments that accents in phrasing should be in two and the 'arpeggios' can be played calmer. It is very important to pay attention not only to the notes but to the intention.
About articulation, sometimes it is not necessary to separate the notes, but to connect them. Finally, within a phrasing, it is better to go to the pitch directly, with decision, and not searching it.
