On the occasion of the feast of the Virgin of the Almudena, patron saint of the city of Madrid, the City Council of the capital organizes this concert as part of the cultural programme to celebrate this commemoration.

Students from the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía will offer a zarzuela recital, performing a selection of songs from works such as Luisa Fernanda, El barberillo de Lavapiés and Doña Francisquita in the Sony Auditorium.

In addition, the audience will be able to visit an exhibition in the foyer of the stalls about the Spanish pianist Alicia de Larrocha, whose centenary is being celebrated this year.
