César Arrieta

Dedicated to both opera and zarzuela, he stood out as Nemorino in G. Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore at the Tenerife Opera and Georgian State Opera; Edmondo in G. Puccini's Manon Lescaut in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; and Pedrillo in W. A. Mozart's The Abduction from the Seraglio, in the operas of Clermont-Ferrand, Massy, Avignon and Rouen. He has recorded live the Rossini roles of Demetrio (Demetrio e Polibio), Radosky (Sigismondo), Selimo (Adina) and Ubaldo (Armida) for Naxos. He studied at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid with professors Tom Krause, Teresa Berganza, Ryland Davies, Milagros Poblador and Helen Donath, and has been awarded prizes at the Medinaceli, Logroño and Clermont-Ferrand competitions.
