Telefónica Centenary

The Telefónica Centenary concert series, organised in collaboration between Telefónica and the Reina Sofía School of Music, aims to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Spanish company and will take the best classical music throughout Spain.

The series, begining on Friday 12 April at the Old Cathedral of Salamanca, will tour more than 20 Spanish cities, stopping off at such emblematic and spectacular venues as the Cueva de los Verdes in Lanzarote, Town Hall Square in Toledo and the Mosque-Cathedral in Cordoba, where the audience will be able to enjoy orchestral and chamber music concerts performed by the young musicians of the Reina Sofía School of Music, conducted by internationally renowned maestros such as Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Nicolás Pasquet, Giovanni Guzzo and Jordi Francés, among others.

All concerts are free admission until full capacity is reached.

The connection between Telefónica and the School dates back to 1999, when the Spanish company began its collaboration as sponsor of the Violin Chair. Its support has enabled hundreds of young musicians to train at the School over the last 25 years.
