This programme, supported by Royal Academy alumnus Sir Elton John, aims to promote global mobility and international collaboration between talented young musicians. The project enables students from twelve of the world's leading conservatoires to participate in educational exchanges with the Royal Academy, ranging from intensive one-week projects to a full year of study.
The Reina Sofía School of Music, in its aim to support young talents in their artistic and personal development, is part of the project together with other prestigious international institutions such as:
Throughout the different editions of the programme, several students of the School have participated, such as Javier Sanz, bassoon, Maria Tsogia Razakova, violin or Beatriz Jiménez Mascuñán, oboe.
According to Òscar Colomina, Dean of the School, "Through this programme, Sir Elton John makes a vital contribution to fostering and sustaining connections between major international music institutions. I am particularly proud that this initiative connects two main artistic communities in the global music context, the Royal Academy of Music and the Reina Sofía School of Music".
