Salvador Barberá

Music has been the constant in Salvador Barberá's life since his childhood, when at the age of six he started in the music band of his town, Alfarp, where he discovered his passion for the oboe with the teachers Mr. Juan Carlos Báguena and with Mr. Francisco Salanova, discovering a vocation that led him to join the Spanish Radio Television Orchestra at the age of nineteen, a group of which he is currently the oboe soloist.

In addition to being a soloist of the RTVE Orchestra since 1996, his concern and desire to enjoy music in all its facets has led him to participate in different chamber groups such as Modus Novus, the Madrid Cámara wind quintet, the duo oboe and piano with Francisco Pérez Sánchez, and the recent creation of the quartet for oboe and string trio Avlós Ensemble to explore and expand a spectrum to other different and equally enriching music. We must not forget his interventions as a soloist with the Maestros Sergiu Commissiona with the Sinfonía Concertante for wind instruments by W.A. Mozart, the Concerto for small string orchestra by Richard Strauss with Lorenzo Ramos, the Concerto for oboe and orchestra by Bohuslav Martinu with Alexander Rahbari, the Sinfonía Concertante for oboe, bassoon, violin and cello by J. Haydn with Miguel Ángel Gómez- Martínez and George Pehlivanian, Sir Malcolm Arnold's Concerto for Oboe and Strings and more recently Eugéne Goossens' Oboe Concerto with Néstor Bayona. He has also collaborated as an invitation to national and international orchestral formations such as the Barcelona and National Orchestra of Catalonia (OBC), the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra (OSCyL), the Principality of Asturias Orchestra (OSPA), the Community of Madrid Orchestra ( ORCAM), Valencian Community Orchestra (OCV), Irish Chamber Orchestra (ICO) and the Cadaqués Orchestra.
