Marcos García Vaquero


 

Marcos García Vaquero, is currently trumpet soloist of the Madrid Symphony Orchestra and head of the Teatro Real, trumpet professor at the Aragón Superior Conservatory of Music and at the Progreso Musical Madrid Higher School of Musical Education. 

He has been a student at the Barenboim-Said Academy of Orchestral Studies with Professor Rainer Auerbach. Furthermore, teachers such as Frits Damrow, Ole Edward Antonsen, Gábor Tarkövi, Sergei Nakariakov, Mark Inouye, Martín Baeza, Tamás Velenzcei, Jeroen Berwaerts, Eric Aubier, Bo Nilsson, Francisco Pacho Flores, Salvador Ibáñez, Manuel Blanco have influenced his musical improvement. , Franck Pulccini, among others. 
He has had an important orchestral education, being a member of the most important youth orchestras in Europe, such as Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester (GMJO), European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), Verbier Festival Orchestra (VFO), Netherlands Youth Orchestra (NJO), Pacific Music Festival (PMF), Youth Orchestra of Extremadura (OJEX), Youth Orchestra of Andalusia (OJA). In the professional field he has collaborated with top-level orchestras such as Staatkapelle Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Luxembourg Philharmonic, Berlin Opera Chamber Orchestra, Nord Deutsche Philharmonie, Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta de Cadaqués, Gstaad Festival Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao, Real Seville Symphony Orchestra, Extremadura Symphony Orchestra, among others. 

Throughout his career he has worked with conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Simon Rattle, Semyon Bychkov, Daniel Barenboim, Sir Neville Marriner, Jaap Van Zweden, John Adams, Daniel Harding, Gustavo Gimeno, Juanjo Mena, or Lutz Köhler among others, performing on the most important venues in the world such as Berlin Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Paris Philharmonie, KKL Lucerne, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Muiskverein Vienna, Köln Philharmonie, Suntury Concert Hall Tokyo, Sapporo Concert Hall Kitara, Milan Theater alla Scala, National Auditorium of Spain, etc…
