Encounter of Santander
Awarded at the XII Henryk Wieniawski International Competition for Young Violinists in Poland, and the XXVII International Competition in Barcelona, Elina Sitnikava began her musical studies at the age of 5 at the Belarusian State University Music School with professors Lev Kuleshov and Eduard Kuchinsky. In 2011 she moved to Madrid to enroll at the Reina Sofía School of Music, where she studied with Zakhar Bron.
Her concert career expands throughout Germany, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Belorussia, Moldova, and the United States, where she has also contributed to recordings with the Belorussian National Radio and Television, Hungarian Television and Spanish National Radio and Television. In 2018 was released the CD “Jewish & Gypsy sounds”, recorded by Elina in collaboration with the Canarian pianist Miguel Ángel Dionis.
As a soloist, Sitnikava has performed with ensembles such as the Belorussian Chamber Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra, the Lviv Symphony Orchestra (Ukraine), the Spanish Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra of Promusica and Unicaja , the Eduard Toldrà Orchestra (Spain) and the European Symphony Orchestra.
Elina is actively involved in national and international cycles and festivals, such as the cycle of Chamber Music Interpreters of the Auditorio Nacional os Madrid, "Nits de Cassics" of Catalonia, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival (Germany), Interlaken Classics (Switzerland) , Schnittke International Music Festival (Russia) or the Castleton Music Festival (USA).
She is currently the assistant of concertmaster in the Orchestra of Community of Madrid.
