STRAUSS, Richard
Acht Gedichte aus Letzte Blätter (H. von Gilm) for solo voice and piano TrV 141 op. 10
8. Allerseelen
Tom Krause, professor
Katarzyna Januszczyk, student
Madalit Lamazares, accompanying pianist
Besides the revision of the German pronunciation for some words of the lyrics, prof. Krause focuses his comments on issues related to the voice colocation. Tom Krause suggests the student to sing as she was giving a hint of a smile, and he indicates with his hand where the resonances are located.
About the dramatization, the professor proposes her to sing as if her husband was there, with a deep feeling of love, pity and gratitude.
Moreover, Krause makes some short clarifications about breathing, phrasing and dynamics. He suggests the student to sing a certain passage with abandonment, but also as clear as possible. Finally, the professor comments that high notes should be plenty of resonance.
