HAYDN, Franz Joseph
String quartet no. 60 in G major H III: 75 op 76 no. 1
II. Adagio
Sándor Devich, guest Professor
Cuarteto Quiroga
Aitor Hevia Sesma, violin
Cibrán Sierra Vázquez, violin
Lander Etxebarría González, viola
Helena Poggio, cello
Sándor Devich corrects some details of the interpretation of this second movement: the way to retain the sound in the ritardando, the phrasing and the melodic lines, the clarity in the octaves on the cello, the bow freedom in certain passages, the moments in which vibrato is not so necessary, the innocent and bright character of the beginning, the preparation of the dynamics to be more effective, the interpretation and character of the coda. All indications refer to the score and Haydn's possible intentions.
