Andrea Pérez


Andrea Pérez, bassoonist from Elche, has completed her higher education at the “Joaquín Rodrigo” Conservatory of Music in Valencia and her postgraduate studies at the "Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía" in Madrid with bassoon teachers Klaus Thunneman, Gustavo Nuñez, Francisco Alonso and Ramón Ortega on contrabassoon. In 2018 she obtained the Master in Musical Performance and Research at the International University of Valencia. 
 
She regularly collaborates with different professional orchestras: Orquesta Illes Balears, Orquesta de Navarra, Orquesta Sinfónica de Extremadura, Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid among others. In 2020 she performed as soloist in the Carpe Diem Chamber Orchestra ST. Petersburg playing Mozart's Bassoon Concerto. 
 
In her pedagogical work, she is currently a bassoon professor at the Salamanca Superior Conservatory of Music. She has been an interim in different professional conservatories such as: Arturo Soria, Alcalá de Henares, Guadalajara and Toledo. She has also taught chamber music master classes at the Conservatorio Superior de Múisca de Castilla la Mancha and the Conservatorio de Pamplona. Additionally, in the summer of 2023 she was a bassoon teacher at the Summer Camp at the Reina Sofía Higher School of Music. 
 
She is a member of the wind quintet “Globo Ensemble”, which has obtained the most outstanding group award from the Madrid Chamber Institute for 5 consecutive years. Semifinalist in the international competition «Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition» and second prize in the Bucharest Chamber Music Competition. This group is immersed in the dissemination of newly composed music and the dissemination of chamber music.
