Sofia Blându

Born in Iaşi, Romania, in 2003, cellist Sofia Blându is currently studying with Professor Konstantin Heidrich at the Universität der Künste Berlin. Sofia has performed as a soloist with orchestras in Romania and Germany, and has given solo and chamber music recitals in Romania, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, and Great Britain. In 2022, she performed with pianist Lizaveta Bormotova at the "Salzburger Festspiele" in Austria. Throughout her development, the young cellist has participated in masterclasses held by Frans Helmerson, Jens Peter Maintz, Marc Coppey, Reinhard Latzko, Valentin Radutiu, Henri Demarquette, among others. Sofia has been supported by the Paul Hindemith Society Berlin and recently won a scholarship offered by the Deutschlandstipendium.
