Encounter of Santander
Born in Sivas (Turkey) in 1992. Salih Can Gevrek is currently an Artist-in-Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under Louis Lortie’s guidance. He previously studied at Royal College of Music in London with Dmitri Alexeev. His achievements started at age 10 when he became prize winner in numerous international piano competitions in Turkey, Bulgaria, Russia, UK and France. Gevrek appears as soloist with the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Ankara Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Presidential Symphony Orchestra performing works by Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, in international music venues including Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Southbank Centre, Steinway Hall, Bridgewater Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields; and in festivals including Granada Music Festival in Spain, 'Three Choirs Festival' Worcester and Bosch Young Classical Musicians Festival.
