Michaela Jones

Born in Singapore, in 2001, Michaela Jones is a Welsh violist who began her undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in 2020, studying initially with Vicci Wardman and more recently with Susie Meszaros. Through her training, she has nurtured her passion for chamber music by being a part of the Heartwood String Quartet, with whom she has attended the Chilingirian String Quartet Course, among others, and enjoyed a residency at the Lake District Summer Music Festival. She has been principal and co-principal viola in various RNCM ensembles and is currently enjoying rehearsing and performing with the BBC Philharmonic as a part of the BBC Philharmonic Professional Experience Scheme.
