Lucía Talavera Haya

Born in Quart de Poblet, Spain, in 2005. Since 2024, she studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music's Fundación Damm Oboe Chair with professor Hänsjorg Schellenberger. She has been granted a scholarship by Fundación Albéniz.

She studied at the Agrupación Musical La Amistad and at the Mestre Molins Conservatory in her home town, obtaining the professional music award in her speciality at the centre and regional stages in 2023. That same year she was awarded first prize in the ‘Mestre Molins’ performance competition. Subsequently, she studied higher studies in performance and musicology, under the guidance of Jesús Fuster and Rafael Cuellar, at the Joaquín Rodrigo Conservatory in Valencia.

She has attendes classes by Roberto Turlo and masterclasses with oboists including Robert Silla, Gregor Witt, Víctor Manuel Ánchel, Nich Deutsch, Aitor Limerá, Washington Barella, Vicente Llimerá, Daniel Fuster, and Juan Carlos Báguena.

She has collaborated with the Orquesta de Rafelbunyol, the Orquesta Filarmónica de Requena, the Banda del Ateneo Musical del Puerto or the Santa Cecília de Alcácer, among others. She is also a regular member as oboe and English horn of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Valencia. He has also participated as oboe soloist in a play with live music, organised by the Palau de la Música de Valencia.

As a student of the School, she is part of the Casa de la Moneda Scarlatti Quintet and of the Cosan Ensemble.
