Julia Merino

Born in Málaga, Spain, in 1993, Julia Merino began piano and singing studies in her hometown. Awarded with the Herbert & Theresie Lowit Memorial Scholarship, she is currently studying at the Opera Course programme (Guildhall School of Music and Drama) with Janice Chapman and Marcus van den Akker. As a mezzo-soprano soloist, she has performed outstanding oratorio works and she made her opera debut in summer 2023 with “Northern Opera Group” performing the opera "Frida". She is performing several recitals and operas which will take place in Spain and UK during the coming months.
