Ilinca Forna

Born in Cluj Napoca, Romania, in 1999, she began studying violin at the age of 7 in her hometown, while also pursuing studies in composition. She later obtained a bachelor's degree from the 'Gheorghe Dima' Music Academy in Cluj Napoca, Romania, and benefited from an Erasmus+ scholarship at the 'Gustav Mahler' Privatuniversität in Klagenfurt, Austria. During her studies, she collaborated with orchestras such as the Romanian National Radio Orchestra, the Romanian Youth Orchestra, and JONDE. Additionally, she was a member of the Resono4 Quartet, with whom she toured extensively, performing concerts throughout Romania. Chamber music has been one of her most cherished environments. Currently, she is studying in Silvia Simionescu's class at the Hochschule für Musik Basel.
