Encounter of Santander
Born in Auderghem, Belgium, in 2003. Belgian-Italian violinist, she is currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Tatiana Samouil. Her interests range from chamber music to orchestral playing, conducting and composing. Since 2023, Giulia has been a regular substitute at the Belgian National Orchestra, performing with them a wide-ranging array of repertoire, and sharing the stage with great conductors and soloists. She is also a member of the Ataneres Ensemble, based in Flanders. Giulia’s string quartet “Oshun” has participated in two editions of the contemporary Ars Musica festival, performing at Bozar in Brussels. Composing since the age of 15, she was commissioned a piece by the Musique Femmes Festival in 2023 which is now being played across Europe.
