Born in Paris, France, in 2005, Clara Messina started playing the violin at the age of six under the guidance of Rodica Bogdanas, later she studied with Christophe Poiget. She continued her studies at the Paris Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Danse with Stéphanie-Marie Degand. Clara won first prizes in the Vatelot Rampal Competition and the Flame International Competition, both held in Paris in 2018. In 2022, she received the second prize and the audience prize at the Cambrai International Violin Competition, the second prize at the Young Talents Competition in Paris, and was granted a one-year loan of a violin made by Giovanni Grancino from the Paris Conservatory. In 2023, she was a semi-finalist in the Mirecourt International Violin Competition.
