Cecilia Novella Genovés

Born in Valencia, Spain, in 2005. Since 2023, she studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s Telefónica Violin Chair with professor Zakhar Bron. She has been granted scholarships by Gransolar por la Música and Fundación Albéniz.

She studied violin at the Catarroja Professional Conservatory with professors like Jesús Plaus, Sergio Gil, and Mikhail Spivak. Additionally, she has attended classes by Corrado Bolsi and Pavel Vernikov at the Liceu Music Conservatory in Barcelona, where she was granted a scholarship by Fundación de Música Ferrer-Salat, and she has also
attended masterclasses by Miriam Fried and Ana Chumachenko.

Winner of the 1st Leonel Morales & Friends International Violin Competition, she has performed at Palau de les Arts, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Royal Theatre, National Auditorium, Teatro Monumental in Madrid, Kölner Philarmonie Hall in Köln, Harpa Hall in Reykjiavík, and the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, conducted by Daniel Harding, Eugene Drucker and Cristobal Soler, among others. She has also been a member of the Madrid Symphony Orchestra (Proyecto Talentos), the Amsterdam Concertgebouorkest Young. In 2023 she played as concertmaster in the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra of the Verbier Festival, conducted by James Gaffigan.

As a student of the School, she has performed with the Freixenet Orchestra conducted by Péter Csaba and Sir András Schiff. She has also been a member of the Pérez-Llorca Haydn Quartet. She is currently part of the Asisa Óscar Esplá Quartet, the Amy Beach Trio and the Fundación Mutua Madrileña Ensemble.
