Ana-Carmen Balestra

Born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in 1998. Ana-Carmen Balestra is a Dutch-Argentine soprano. She studied at the Opera Course at Guildhall, and will continue at the National Opera Studio in London. She performed a full recital at the Wigmore Hall after winning the Guildhall Prize and performed as Barbarina and Dalinda at the Copenhagen Opera House, Frasquita at the Waterperry Opera Festival, Susanna in a new piece by Stephen McNeff and performed Alcina with the Academy of Ancient Music. Ana opened for Ian Bostridge and debuted at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. She performed at the Rotterdam Opera Festival, the Tête-à-tête and the Copenhagen Opera Festival and appeared on the BBC Radio.
