Da Camera de Cuerdas
The School's Baroque Orchestra is part of the Société Générale Historical Performance Program, which seeks to expose students to the various performing traditions from the Renaissance (through the Baroque) and up to musical classicism, through the study of their stylistic characteristics, repertoire, the history and evolution of instruments, etc...
The Société Générale Historical Performance Program is led by Paul Goodwin, who is accompanied on the faculty by Lina Tur Bonet as assistant professor of strings, Marco Testori as assistant professor of continuo and Daniel Espasa as assistant professor of harpsichord.
The School Choir began in the 2015-2016 academic year and was born with the aim of offering all the students of the School, regardless of their instrument of study, the possibility of completing their training through singing, which improves instrumental tuning, hearing, expressiveness, understanding of phrasing and style, as well as benefits for physical and mental health, also delving into social aspects of collective music, the purpose of the team and active listening to the other.
The School Choir is led from the 2021-2022 academic year by Professor Simon Halsey and Assistant Professor Jùlia Sesé.
Free admission until full capacity is reached.
This concert will also be broadcast live on our Youtube chanel.
