As the culmination of a week of intensive work with the Orquesta de Extremadura, the students of the ‘Zubin Mehta’ Chair of Orchestra Conducting will conduct this orchestra, with Natalie Schwamova as piano soloist, in a programme consisting of the Overture to the Fairy Tale of the Beautiful Melusine, by Mendelssohn, the Piano Concerto in A minor, op.54 by Schumann and the Symphony No. 2 in D major, op.36 by Beethoven.
