Sinfonietta
This concert features the Sinfonietta of the Reina Sofía School of Music, whose goal is to play repertoires centred on the 20th and 21st centuries, in an effort to disseminate contemporary music.
Organised by the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical, in collaboration with the Museo Nacional y Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, the concert will be conducted by maestro Johannes Kalitzke, one of the most influential personalities of contemporary musical life, noted for his pluralistic spirit, rich in perspectives and his multifaceted work.
The Sinfonietta will perform Concerto funebre, for solo violin and string orchestra by Karl Amadeus Hartmann, with violinist María Ramos as soloist; Cripsis, for fourteen instruments, by Alberto Posadas, resident composer of the CNDM in the season 24/25; and Chamber Symphony No. 1 in E major, by Arnold Schoenberg.
Free admission until full capacity is reached. Ticket collection on the day of the concert at the entrance to the auditorium.
