La Generación Ascendente
The concert series La Generación Ascendente is one of the best examples of the School's objectives, as it combines in a highly demanding stage the maturation of talented young musicians with the dissemination of classical music in society.
In the concerts of the series, organized in collaboration with INAEM, the best performers of the School have the opportunity to take the prestigious stage of the Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid to offer the public new versions of the great works of the repertoire, in recitals, chamber groups or orchestral ensembles.
In this concert, cellists Eva Arderíus and Guillem Gràcia, students of the Aline Foriel-Destezet Cello Chair with professor Jens Peter Maintz, will offer recitals.
Eva Arderíus, winner in 2024 of the first prize at the Juventudes Musicales de España Competition and at the María Herrero International Competition in Granada, will play a program with works by Debussy, Franck and a piece composed by Erick Garcés, a young composer trained at the Composition Chair of the Reina Sofía School.
For his part, Guillem Gràcia, awarded at the 2024 Bach-Wettbewerb in Leipzig (Germany) and the Primer Palau prize, in addition to the critics' prize and the Catalunya Música prize, will perform works by Brahms and Cassadó.
Free admission for Friends of the School. Find out more about the Friends of the School Program here.
