Encounter of Santander
The Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (CNDM), in its commitment to the promotion of young talent, celebrates the European Music Day with an extraordinary concert (out of season) by the Freixenet Orchestra of the Reina Sofía School of Music, with maestro Sir András Schiff in his double role as conductor and soloist.
On this evening, the young orchestra will tackle three ambitious works: the Concerto for harpsichord, strings and basso continuo in F minor by Johann Sebastian Bach in piano and orchestra version, the Concerto No. 17 for trumpet and orchestra in E flat major by Franz Joseph Haydn, with Marlon Mora as soloist, and the Symphony No. 4 in A major by Felix Mendelssohn.
