Afterwork
Víctor Mendoza, vibraphonist, composer and pedagogue, is one of the most internationally recognised artists in the genre of Latin and contemporary jazz and percussion. Since his beginnings in music, his restlessness and curiosity to adapt to different musical genres was awakened with the intention of sharing and reaching the minds and hearts of the audience with one of the purest and most beautiful artistic manifestations that exist.
In a chameleonic way, in an instant his music is marked with rhythms full of emotion and changes with beautiful colours. In this concert, Mendoza will perform with a group of 17 young musicians of the Reina Sofía School and Centro Superior Música Creativa, with a programme in which jazz and classical merge through different approaches to contemporary composition, combining modal colours with rhythms from various parts of the world and improvisation.
